The award of the title "European Capital of Culture 2008" is a much deserved accolade to the diversity of talent in this vibrant city.
From the grandeur of the Liverpool Empire, the largest 2-tier theatre in the country, and the Philharmonic Hall with its resident Orchestra, to the comedy shows,buskers on the streets and Professor Codman's Punch and Judy Show, Liverpool has something to offer everybody. |

The legacy of our Victorian forebears is a plethora of magnificent buildings housing some of the World's most prestigeous artefacts and works of art.
The Walker Art Gallery, The Tate Liverpool and the Liverpool Museum are the greatest jewels, but there are numerous lesser gems, from Sudley House to Paul McCartney's modest house in Allerton. The Conservation Centre, is busy restoring many of Liverpool's famous works of art and visits to watch the process are encouraged |
