The weather over the last weekend has been glorious (Max 20.9C) but I am concerned about two things, water and frost. Seeds that I have planted have not germinated and I am reluctant to water as once started it must be continued and there is a tendency to form a hard crust. The forecast is for the weather to be cooler and for Friday night to go down to two degrees. Including today it is 24 days since we had rain.

The potatoes are up, the gooseberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, strawberries, apples and pears are in flower and a frost could cause extensive damage.
